The side where the pin protrudes is the body side.

This goes IN LINE of a current light or accessory kit. You will plug one side to the receiver and the magnet part will hang off the back or side somewhere. Your light kit will now plug into the other half of this harness on the body side. This will help with easy removal of a body off the chassis.
